Hamburg knows more about Chilean food

In a Cooking Show organized by ProChile, importers, journalists, specialized food buyers for the Horeca channel and chefs, were able to learn about various preparations and the use of these products in the kitchen.

A total of 25 people participated in an event organized by ProChile in Hamburg, Germany, where they learned about the various Chilean foods that are present in that market and preparations, from which they could participate and then taste.

The event was led by Chilean chef Alexis Rojas, who lived in that country, and on the menu he had dishes such as pisco punch, salmon stuffed with spider crab and avocado, garnished with a papaya chutney and a Rumpsteak with carmenere sauce and blueberries, accompanied by potatoes. In addition, the tasting ended with a dessert consisting of a trifle of ulmo honey and cream with papayas.

During the day, attendees were also able to taste wines and pisco sour, along with a Chilean pebre that became the favorite of the day and that attracted followers to be offered in some restaurants in that city.

«These activities have been a great help to promote Chilean food among German consumers, in addition to showing them how they can prepare them. Germany is a big consumer of Chilean products and we want it to continue increasing, «said ProChile’s commercial director in Germany, Diego Torres.
